It’s Not This Time of Year Without…

Christmas Decorations!

Where would you find the most Christmas spirit in the world? It’s hard to say for certain, but if a global competition were to be held, the Philippines would have an excellent shot at winning….(Sarah Brown, CNN)

The Philippines celebrates Christmas the longest. As early as September first, streets are lined up with Christmas lights and parol (Christmas lantern). Gigantic Christmas trees start to emerge too. Christmas carols are heard everywhere: on radio, in houses, in malls. This is how excited are we to celebrate Christmas.

Come September and Christmas is in the air.

  1. WOW. The Philippines knows how to totally celebrate and enjoy the Christmas season. In my country(Kenya)the Christmas lights came up during the last week of November. Looking forward to the carols.

    • Yes, Christmas is very dear to us. Our celebration of it ends on the twelfth day after Christmas day. That’s our three kings celebration. Thus, the childlike excitement of Christmas still lingers in my heart. I am glad to know you celebrate Christmas in your country too!
