What if God would gather all His messengers, then would announce to them: Say this to all the people, “The road to salvation is available only for the next three days. Seats are limited. We accept only 1,000,000 people. After that it would be closed. Claim your spot now. Hurry!”
That would be a sensation, I suppose. People, including me, might leave all their tasks at hand just to claim their spot. Or else we would be doomed on earth.
Thankfully, God does not promote His kingdom that way. His resources are unlimited. He is not governed by time; for He has Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. He promotes in abundance and not in limitations. He promotes through the smile of a child, the kindness of a neighbor, the magnificence of the sunrise or the gentle glow of the sunset.
The road towards Him is always open. He calls us not in numbers, but one by one because He know us by our name. He speaks untiringly in our hearts. And always welcomes us back, even when we have squandered His resources in wild living.
However, our time on earth is limited. May we come to know Him before our candle burns out.
